This weekend has been specially designed to bring together the families of children with type 1 diabetes, as well as provide information and vendor exhibits.

Event Schedule:

Friday:

• 4pm registration begins at the JDRF table located in the hotel lobby.
• Pizza party sponsored by Animas and Dexcom
• Pool (open from 7 - 11pm)
• Movie

Saturday:

• Enjoy breakfast beginning at 7:30 AM
• Supervised activiities for children under 12 years old
• Entertainment by Sue, The Bubble Lady and Bev Walborn, Lake Erie Nature and Science Center
• "Gizmos and Gadgets" vendor exhibits
• JDRF Research Update
• Panel discussion from type 1 diabetes experts
• Lunch

TeenSpeak Presentation:

• Designed for ages 13-19
• “Off to College” discussion on Friday (parents welcome)
• TeenSpeak discussion on Saturday (teens only)
• Presenters include recently graduated college students who have type 1 diabetes
• Open forum discussions where teenagers can ask questions and receive suggestions from young adults who have “been there and done that”
• Teen Room available Friday and Saturday for unstructured activities/board games/card games and discussions

Saturday KidSpace:

• Supervised childcare will be provided on Saturday during the presentation for children ages 2 - 13.  Infants are welcome in the adult meetings.
• Snacks and beverages will be available in the kid's rooms during Saturday morning snack time.  Each family is asked to provide 10 individual snack packages equaling approximately 15 - 20 grams of carbohydrates each and a six pack of water (any size) or other non-carbonated drink.
• You must RSVP in advance to reserve a spot for your child(ren) int eh KidSpace.
